Spring Visit
Well that was a nice visit from Spring, back to cold and also wet weather, not very inviting to paint outside. Come back soon, please! I very much enjoyed painting En Plein Air.

FIREFIGHTER MUSEUM - Village of Greenport
FIREFIGHTER, Oil on Canvas, 16"x20"
This is my third painting of the FIREFIGHTER and probably one of my favorites, besides Captain Hansen at the Helm. . . so far!!!!
As time slipped from 2:30-4:00ish the more the red reflected in the water, it was like eating candy getting to add that little detail. I also really enjoyed talking to the people passing by and asking questions. It was a great afternoon with wonderful conversations.

FIREFIGHTER - Village of Greenport
Just a quick sketch of a painting before Charlie, Ray and I went to lunch. I hope to do more like this over the next coming months. Not a large commitment to paint the entire ship, just a little snippet.
I really liked the way the porthole looked on the door and the ship, the FIREFIGHTER plaque was just an extra special note in red. What surprised me was the fact that I am not a big fan of lettering, but for some reason this was screaming to be painted. One never knows. . . that is why I show up and paint. I just don't know. . .
